Reporting to Parents and the Transfer of Pupil Records
Heide
School
operates an open door policy, which means you will be made welcome in school whenever you wish. You will be invited to a parent/ teacher consultation periodically, in order to discuss your child's progress. Over the course of the year you will also be invited into school in order to look at work produced by your child's year group. A written report on each child is prepared for parents at the end of the summer term.

Anglo-German Partnerships
Heide
School
has recently developed an extensive number of partnerships with local German Schools. We have recently completed joint Anglo-German concerts with our partner schools (with our children speaking and singing in German and the German classes speaking and singing in English).

Other facilities
Within Fallingbostel camp itself a number of activities are readily available: squash, tennis, horse riding and a fully equipped gymnasium with multi-gym facilities. Fallingbostel is well situated between three major German cities;
Hamburg
and
Bremen
to the north and
Hannover
to the South. As well as this,
Celle
and Soltau, two very pretty German towns are close by. Fallingbostel is a small German town which for its size has a very surprising number of good restaurants, hotels and cafes. There is also a pretty park and river in the town centre, and nearby woodland walks. It is essential that teachers coming to this area should be able to drive, as this further enhances their opportunities to get to know the local area and surrounding cities, and indeed investigate Denmark to the North, and Germany and beyond to the south, east and west.
